British Veterans National Defence Medal (NDM) Campaign

How You Can Help

We need Veterans or Serving Members of the Armed Forces from every constituency in the country to contact their own MP, The Chief of Defence Staff, the Media or any official that will support or further the campaign to instigate the NDM.

But first we would like you to contact us at the campaign team and register your details.  We can help with template letter and putting you in contact with your MP.  You can email us at or use the contact form.

Contact your MP

Contact your MP or any Minister Direct using:

We have template letters that can be supplied by emailing the team at or download by clicking on Template, or an alternative letter Template B, either can be edited before sending.

You can also find a list of Lords here:

As most Peers do not have email addresses, the best way to contact them is by letter.  You should address yours to the name of the Lord at:

Chief of Defence Staff

Current Chief of defence staff is General Sir David Richards KCB CBE DSO ADC Gen

The professional head of the armed forces and the principle military advisor to the Secretary of Defence and the government.  Previously the CDS has questioned whether there was enough support for an NDM, so we suggest copying letters to MPs also to the CDS with a polite compliments slip.

You can send a message direct to the MoD just CLICK HERE

Do not be surprised to receive a standard letter from Mr Solomon as a result, it is just how the MoD operate.  But the fact will be recorded that NDM support is growing.
