Hi there, read your web page with interest. Good on you for supporting this cause and respect from me re your delivering a life full of service. Since I somehow got involved in all this I have been researching British medal history and as far as I can see the decision to not allow the Pinjat medal to be worn completely goes against significant historical British medal precidence. The Turkish Crimea medal, the Khedives Eygpt medal, the Khedives Sudan medal, and I suppose the Kings South Africa medal, perhaps the Kabul to Khandaha Star and even the Korean UN medal off the top of my head, are good examples of 'dual' awards. I figured this out in a few hours of reading and all I can say is If the powers that be keep screwing up the decisions, British Vets will do and wear whatever they want. As NZ and Aussies Vets have been wearing these medals for a while, (and the world didn't end, public supported it and the award system was not compromised), this type of decision is not a good look for the UK decision makers. Again respect to you, and make sure you look after yourself. Cheers

I see that our P.M Gordon Brown has seen fit to award a Knighthood to Ted Kennedy who supported the I.R.A;but can't seem to do the same for our ex service Veteran ref the National Defence Medal, why?.
