Sheila, Couldnt agree more about a celebrity culture. Some people are so two faced and it is shows especially when dead bodies of those servicemen being re-patriated through Wooten Bassett. We live in this culture where it seems more important to reward sports people and celebrities with honours than servicemen/veterans. I myself served in the RN for 28 years and am still to this day trying to get recognition for service in the Falklands in 1982 in the award of the South Atlantic Medal (Without Rosette). The Government/MOD/HD Committee do not have the courtesy to reply an official letter I sent on the 1st August 09.
