Pure ignorance and self importance, all you have to do is look at they way they treated the D Day vet's.

Very true exRaf.
Perhaps we could take matters into our own hands and conduct a similar poll here in Soldier magazine and then in National newpapers. Maybe this will shame the powers that be into finally doing the right thing ???

We have posed this question directly, the predictable answer is:
" We are aware but the British Government is under no obligation to follow suit"

The MoD may be under no obligation to follow suit, but I feel it should not be an oblgation rather a DESIRE to recognise our demand which should influence the decision. to follow the NZ format.

There was a time when Britain led the world, but the government should recognize that they (the government) no longer have the brains to lead and should fall in behind the other commonwealth and allied governments and follow suit.
Just bite the bullet, it won't hurt!!!
