A chance to ask about the broken Military Covenant and a role the NDM could play in help fixing it?

Does Sir Jock feel the Military Covenant has been broken, given the steady stream of revelations of mismanagement at the MoD, and the merry-go-round of Defence Ministers?

does sir jock support the wishes of veterans for the institution of a National defence medal , and the call for better and more equipment for our troops in theatre at the moment?

I've posted my question:

Sir Jock,

Aussies and Kiwis were wondering when your armed forces can expect to receive a National Defence Medal? This simply allows all who served a number of years to have something tangible to wear on rememberance days? We hear downunder that your troops were pretty good at their job, so where's their gong?

He was not asked any questions by Andrew Marr relating to the Military Covenant, let alone medals. BBC/BS.
